Established in 2007, Rolatseng mining is an HDSA controlled company and fully complies with the objectives of the Minerals and Petroleum Resources Act No 28 of 2002 and the Mining Charter.
Rolatseng is currently represented on the JMEC board, which is a Transnet initiative to assist junior mining companies in South Africa to export coal cost effectively
JMEC’s objectives is to lobby for the building of a new coal terminal that is comparable to RBCT just to assist junior minors with current rail and port constraints.
JMEC has so far succeed in securing land for the new terminal, negotiations are continuing with stakeholders to ensure that the objectives are achieved.
